ThesisReady uses necessary cookies or local storage for auth/session, security, checkout and account flows, language/locale selection, cookie preferences and core service functionality.

The functional preference cookie thesisready_analytics_consent_v1 is always available to remember and respect your analytics choice. It contains only accepted or rejected, not identity or document content, and has a maximum configured lifetime of 180 days.

For anonymous daily limit protection, free daily limit enforcement and security, we may use anonymous or pseudonymous technical daily-limit identifiers derived from request or session metadata. These identifiers do not contain raw uploaded document text.

Google Analytics 4 is not loaded before analytics consent. After acceptance, it may use the first-party analytics cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and maintain session state.

ThesisReady configures analytics cookies with a maximum lifetime of 180 days and does not roll their expiry forward on every visit. Analytics remains disabled after rejection or expiry until you consent again.

Analytics events are intended to understand product usage. We do not intentionally send document text, uploaded file content, filenames, email addresses, report content or citations to analytics.

Marketing cookies are not currently used in the service. If this changes, they will be used only in line with law and consent requirements.

You can change analytics consent through the Cookie settings button in the footer. The choice is stored in the first-party cookie thesisready_analytics_consent_v1 and, for compatibility and migration, in the existing thesisready_cookie_consent_v1 value in browser localStorage.

After the maximum 180-day period expires, we ask for your choice again; an expired localStorage record does not silently restore consent. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Deletion may sign you out, reset language preferences or show the cookie banner again.
